In this critical role, you’ll play a pivotal part in our marketing efforts, ensuring effective communication with AAOS Members, revenue generation, and brand loyalty.

Responsibilities:

  • Email Campaign Management:
    • Oversee all email campaigns, from planning to execution.
    • Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, and Membership teams to align email content with business objectives.
    • Translate business and marketing goals into impactful email campaigns using our marketing automation platform.
  • Calendar Management:
    • Maintain and update the email calendar, working closely with product/business owners to prioritize and schedule programs.
  • Best Practices and Training:
    • Develop and share best practices across AAOS.
    • Train new users on the marketing platform.
    • Continuously improve processes based on insights and adjustments.
  • Marketing Automation:
    • Collaborate with product/business owners to create end-to-end marketing automation templates and campaigns.
    • Ensure audience segmentation, creative development, formatting, testing, deployment, and success measurement.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Test strategies related to content, timing, audience segmentation, subject lines, and frequency.
    • Maintain transactional emails and trigger/nurture campaigns.
  • Data-Driven Insights:
    • Analyze email metrics and performance indicators.
    • Provide recommendations to enhance campaign effectiveness based on industry benchmarks.

  • Up to 10 business days per year

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 4-5+ years of email marketing experience.
  • A keen understanding of email concepts, metrics, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.).
  • Experience crafting trigger/nurture campaigns that engage customers.
  • Channel-surfing skills: Google Ads, paid social, programmatic display.
  • PPC account management (3+ years) and SEO savvy.
  • Reporting and analytics prowess.
  • Strong communication and project management chops.
  • HTML/CSS and MS Office familiarity.

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in marketing or e-commerce.
  • Experience in professional societies or membership marketing.
  • Bonus points for healthcare professional audience know-how.

This hybrid position is based in Rosemont, Illinois and is open to applicants who are able to commute weekly to this office.
