Registry Program Manager

The Registry Program Manager will be responsible for understanding and representing the user needs of their assigned registries as well as needs across registries to develop and grow registry quality programs. This role serves as a cross-functional and multi-stakeholder leader in defining and designing the clinical scope of the registry and the expected outcomes to inform quality improvement for registry participants. This position requires knowledge of both product management and the ability to define and guide the clinical development of the registry to grow participation, promote the value of registry data and be responsible for ensuring revenue and site participation goals are met for assigned registries.
Registry Program Management
- Oversees the day-to-day management of assigned registries; acts as a staff liaison to surgeon committees and as a point of escalation for participating sites related to clinical and/or measure related outcomes reporting.
- Develops and manages a product roadmap for their assigned registry; identifies areas of opportunity to increase the value of the registry through advancement of the registry as providers of clinical outcomes and quality improvement metrics that offer value to both surgeons and quality administrators at participating institutions.
- Partners with Customer Experience team members to ensure the necessary support and engagement models are in place to reduce participant attrition and increase potential for growth; establish priorities and plans in partnership with the customer experience team to ensure participant satisfaction and to contribute to registry growth.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with external partners to contribute to and inform registry development.
- Leads all clinical aspects of assigned registries including, but not limited to, the following:
- Clinical data specifications and data dictionaries.
- Continued growth of data re-use opportunities for registry data across quality distinction or payer pre-authorization programs.
- Ownership of and ongoing development and/or updates to registry collateral that communicates the clinical aspects of each registry and the value proposition pertaining to performance measures and outcomes that each registry can provide to various stakeholder groups.
- Provides input and guidance to the registry research program for assigned registries to inform priorities and ensures the visibility of registry data across relevant society meetings and in leading orthopaedic publications.
- Acts as a subject matter expert related to the clinical aspects of the registry in meetings with key stakeholders.
- Manages committee governance processes for assigned registries and ensure compliance with AAOS’ Committee Appointment Program (CAP).
- Leads initiatives to evolve and grow participation in assigned registries including researching and implementing opportunities to elevate the profile of the registry and contribute to its reach and growth.
Quality Program Management
- Acts as a subject matter expert and partner liaison for registry quality programs including programs and relationships with healthcare payers and/or accreditation and certification entities that partner with the registry.
- Guides and directs internal staff as needed to develop knowledge of registry quality programs and data re-use opportunities to promote the value of registry participation.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-7 years of experience in healthcare field or clinical setting
- In depth knowledge of clinical data as it relates to orthopaedic certifications and performance measurement and payer related programs such as CMS or private payer programs
- Expertise related to healthcare quality performance measures and ability to coordinate the complexity related to building measures and regulatory programs.
- Experience with informing policy and rules related to CMS program; provide input to comments related to regulatory on when we should comment on regulatory decisions and rulemaking.
- In depth knowledge of clinical workflows, preferably in the area of orthopaedic and neurological spine care
- Strong ability to communicate with clinical stakeholders and the ability to translate complex concepts and issues into meaningful action plans to drive outcomes.
- Ability to interpret and analyze situations, identify solutions, and formulate recommendations for effective management of customers, staff, and processes.
- Knowledge of IT systems, particularly data integration services
- Strong time management skills: demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently and deliver results under pressure.
- Experience collaborating with peers and forming agreements across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools such as SharePoint and MS Teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills; skill explaining problems succinctly and clearly while demonstrating sound judgement related to details and commitments to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a dynamic, purposeful environment.
- Naturally organized, analytical and meticulous, initiative-taker who is passionate about professional integrity and excellence with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm .
- Strong relationship building skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of team members across the Registry department, the organization and with external partners.
- Motivation to create a best-in-class customer experience for assigned registries.
Desired:
- Master’s degree in public health, Nursing or Related Clinical Field preferred
- Experience managing work in Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Association Management Systems (AMS)
- Background in collaborating with individuals/groups that require significant support through decision-making processes.
- Familiarity with or experience with health care related research projects and studies
Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000
