Under the guidance of the Business Lead, the Market Research Manager designs and manages quantitative and qualitative, primary and secondary research studies, as well as manages various data analysis projects to deliver insights that meet the needs of internal and external clients. Frequently provides "start-to-finish" service for in-house research projects.
Main responsibilities include consulting with clients to identify key research questions and recommending appropriate methods and techniques, e.g., quantitative or qualitative research, to address their needs. Designing and managing research studies. Creating research instruments (e.g., survey questionnaires and focus group discussion guides) and working with clients on the review and approval process. Extracting and preparing survey samples from the Member database. Programming questionnaires in the survey platform. Handling distribution and overseeing data collection. Analyzing data, formulating key findings and insights. Writing research reports and delivering presentations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate research insights into business strategies. Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging research methodologies.
Primary research includes quantitative studies (e.g., online surveys and polls) and qualitative studies (e.g., traditional focus groups and web-based methods).
Market/member insights derived from secondary research include news monitoring (e.g., ad hoc topics and trends), competitive intelligence, and internal membership data analysis.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Seven to ten years of progressive market research and data analysis experience: quantitative research, qualitative research and secondary research methods.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with marketing research, marketing, business, statistics, or related concentration.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Adept at managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented and persistent, with excellent follow-through.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis software, e.g., SPSS, R, SAS. Ability to analyze data, interpret statistical relationships, identify trends, and draw conclusions from data.
- Proficiency in online survey development, preferably with Question Pro and/or Qualtrics.
- Expert-level user of PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization tools.
- Technical ability to learn various other data and online applications.
- Consummate team player who is always looking for ways to evolve capabilities.
Desired:
- Advanced degree in Marketing Research, Marketing, Business, Statistics, or related field preferred.
- Experience with qualitative research methodologies, including focus groups, panels, or in-depth interviews. Formal training in qualitative research from a recognized training firm (i.e. RIVA, Burke).
- Healthcare industry experience a plus.
Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000

This hybrid position is based in Rosemont, Illinois and is open to applicants who are able to commute weekly to this office.
